19:30 Pretti would be alive if Pretti (& that woman that got pushed---- unnecessary on the officers part) stayed the fuck out of the way in the first place.
that's like me obstructing an officer, not an ICE/ but a regular officer because they were arresting someone I knew and I got killed because I legit tried to wrestle with the guy defending my friend who also was doing something they had no business doing (also getting in the cops way = so both of us are self-inserting ourselves into a horror of our own making).
I get called hero, but my ass would be alive if i stayed out the goddamn way.
Was 5-7+ officers necessary to detain one guy? Nope.
But that doesn't negate the fact that Pretti & that woman installed themselves in a situation so belabored they were damn near hanging out with the officers, from a distance in the footage I thought they were friends or something. So close to them they could smell them. And I bet the entire time the officers were asking them to stand down.
People think they're untouchable, it's like a grasp of "consequence" doesn't exist to some folk. The authorities are the authority, not you.
I came to an epiphany today, this is nothing but people trying to powerplay cops into submission like they were allowed to during the Biden presidency and the tragedy is people are finding out the authorities are not going to back down anymore. That's what this is really about, not the whole thing, but these isolated chest puffs on the protestors part.
The officers overreacting should be held accountable yet dont then IGNORE what the civies are doing to lead up to that ,to insert themselves in situations they chose not to avoid.
TL;DR You can't mommy finger wag the feds into lowering their heads and back up while you scream "SHAME!" and spit at them & you win the day like a MCU Superhero or something.
Life isn't a damn cartoon, thats what these people don't get. In their mediocre experiences, THIS is how a lot of them get to feel like they exist, I 100% get it because I used to do shit similar to this. Talking in their group chats, stalking people, interrogating and intimidating fellow people of their community who they think is ICE, road blocks aka borderpatrol & ejecting people from territory they dont want aka cosplaying ICE (ironically)--- these cats really feel like they're a part of something important by cosplaying alleged fascism while thinking they're fighting alleged fascism.
That's not how that works, you can't make cops kneel anymore, YOU have to comply.
These officers need to relax, while I'm sure babysitting protestors all day gets annoying, these boys need to remember they're the one's in bulletproof vests and take their positions more responsibly & less seriously.
However: Protesting is not a mask term to just do whatever the fuck you want.
