📌OP (Reacting to a Doomsday Trailer): "YeahNaaahhh.... That Marvel time has run out a while ago...."
📌Re: "Then explain, Spider-Man: Brand New Day $2.220 billion at the box office in three weeks."
📌Counter Re: "If your point is the "marvel time" hasn't run out because a spiderman film made billion+ including No Way Home & Far From home--- You're answering your own question.
- Think about it---- Your retort wasn't the success of a Marvel Phase, you specifically chose a SPIDERMAN movie, let me repeat that: a SPIDERMAN movie (which is sony & MCU, not just MCU)......again, you answered your own question.
The phases themselves weren't billion dollar factories, Phase 3 specifically was a beast in itself, no question.
But if you're reaching to the recent Brand New Day, how many movies in this specific era did Brand New Day numbers, you know? point is, overall SPIDERMAN movies tended to be more successful.
- And be careful with that anime fan logic that because something made bank or got views that means it's worth a shit, there's been a lot of "popular" things throughout history that have been actually not so great after the fact.
Just because ppl will spend for it now while it's a hot topic, don't mean it'll age well.
🚩And just because a movie did NOT make even, doesn't then mean it's not good or decent.
Be very careful with that line of thinking. "
Mainly from anime & manga-ites have I seen this deflection repeated, for almost 10 years.
