The music was surprisingly good, excellent shots & use of colors to direct the scene's tones.
But the overall focus of the film is the strongest element: avoidance, isolation, the danger's of hyper-independence and burnout. Relevant.
(This visual with a spine prop in between them, subtle)
Gotham's over-reliance on his presence specifically was an excellent point. Cause some of the decisions Gordon made had me like: "But you have guns tho."
Batman is really overqualified but he's still one guy, he can't be everywhere. The Sons of Batman (TDKR) filled the gap, but at base he doesn't have the organization of the cops.
The flaws, the mortality of Batman.
It's not even 1hr 30 minutes, well paced, solid action, solid writing. It doesn't waste your time. The cliffhanger actually pissed me off cause I wanted more. Allegedly two more parts are in the works.
WB still got it, they just need to lean into the DC Animated scene, where their strengths have always been.
MCU formula been overrated.
