And this would have never happened if their first concern was making her feel good about herself.

She made a gesture at the dig, as if she’s used to abuse, and then to her own surprise constructive criticism was attached to it. She wasn’t ready for it.

This is why criticism and judgement is necessary in any society. This right here is why being an asshole sometimes is necessary to push the point with consideration at the same time, to be honest.

When everyone’s calling you amazing, & pretending insanity is the new normal.

It takes one person going against the grain to change your entire pathway in life or at least plant the seed of change

They tried her as an adult, not a “girl”, an ADULT woman. And it got through.

whoever that was, they’re ahead of most people.

The true meaning behind “lest ye be judged” is essentially: (I hold you accountable, you hold me accountable), it’s supposed to be a perpetuating cycle of accountability, by design. Not a “gotcha!” tactic to shut someone up.

Validation, empowerment, cosigns and blind reinforcement does not help. It pads, exacerbates- they’re not solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITY, criticism, concern/ HUMANITY is what saves people/us from ourselves.

There’s a big difference between hate (A reason why, but with no constructive point) and criticism (with both a reason and at least a solution or an explanation attached to it. A point, at least.)
