People need to remember that mankind conquers to achieve; Ants do it, Tigers do it, Man does it. Colonizing is not a white people thing, it's a general expansion tactic of any predator to gain territory, water sources, access to game, elevated terrain, plains with better soil, even people etc.
Ugly shit; but slandering an ethnicity as “colonizers” because your squad couldn’t compete once upon a time?
Not it.
Why? Because your “people” weren’t innocent either, look up the shit Mongolian conquerors did- but all we hear about is white people like they’re the only one’s that matter.
The successors of the losers re-writing history & calling it the truth is just the disgruntled & conquered modding world history to fit a social studies narrative as a coping mechanism-- for a takeover they never experienced and the most they have to worry about is a micro-aggression.
Americans thinking their domestic hissy fits is the standard the world should give a damn about. Putting reality in a box.
And when you do that, you trivialize what your own tribe was capable of in it’s prime, good and bad. The world’s total sum of invasion attempts weren’t all Vikings, Englishman & Spaniards. *spoiler alert
Natives of all sorts weren’t these reserved peace loving hippies that never did nuthin to rival tribes and always asked nicely for a neighborly maiden’s hand in marriage.
Or if there was a river nearby they wanted and a certain landmark was in the way, well they just asked the spirits to remove it, while they meditated.
Nah, they were a force in their own league, they made wars, they made treaties & peace, languages, superior agricultural technology off the land that the European conquerors adopted because it was superior to their practices.
Rulers in their own era. Until that era ended, as most do, skin color be damned.
The determining factor was technology, tactics & war strategies.
