this is whole "btw, nothing wrong with that" so you don't piss off a smooth brain in your chat is so fickle & timid, & creators have been doing it for years and years. Makes it so hard to trust people to be real sometimes because they hold back & you can tell.
People are not owed cosign, a kink is not a cosmically sacred concept that is exempt from criticism. They're not genetic nor serve an evolutionary advantage, they're nurture, not nature. It's not like coming at someone's tribe or something.
If a chic gets off on rolling in mud in her living room with a pig mask on consensual with hubby; I'm not gonna sit here & Vaultboy Thumbs up for optics with a straight face because "I'm a good person". Miss me with that crap.
Such a sterile mindset in terms of nuanced takes or lack thereof, cause some creators are so reliably robotic, because anything & everything is okay because some NPC in chat might be into it, who gives a shit if they are, it's still stupid
And the one of few times a streamer will criticize anything is when it's easy targets or they're fighting with another creator in some drama and they eventually make it personal.
So roasting Ian for having a V-card for so long is fine or saying "he likes to watch" as a joke is okay cause it's drama context but you have to disclaim there's nothing wrong with consent shoving pegs into another human being, regardless of why NPC feels the need to do that to express or feel secure sexually, because "I'm a good person, I'm tolerant, pls don't unsub", pure phony.
Pick a lane.
People need to stop lowering their head for the sake of means & then going hardmode when it's convenient in these dramas and then expose people & their kinks & everything else, AND ONLY THEN it's okay to roast it.
At that point, you're not even criticizing it in the right frame of mind to help, contribute, tough love or enlighten anything, when it's drama related or personal, now your intentions are corrupted. Now you're actively going after someone, weaponizing whatever you can to hurt them.
Wrong energy. This is why accountability needs to be second nature, not kept in a vault to re-purpose as information warfare leverage against someone when it suits the plot.
People gotta be more consistent,.
