In reality, this generalization of hers is only possible if you ignore the fact that men are the primary creators of the species because they innovate spears to skyscraper, man-made fire & machinations/ creations to mansions to bases, to bunkers, to homes, to shuttles, to traffic lights to highways, mine sites, underwater ops, etc etc. Infrastructure, creation. Women pioneer as well, men are the majority because they have radical drive due to Y chromosome in both violence and creation, ideas, invention. Build and maintain infrastructure, cities, power grids. Inventing most, not all, most of the cool shit we take for granted. Whole fields of occupations that men die doing because women don't have to do it nor help on mass, despite being the majority yet doing less of the harder, dangerous jobs. # So the generalization in itself is incorrect. Because while 80% of violent crimes are done by males, 80% of males in general are not violent criminals, hence civilization still being here. Nuance, knowing what you're talking about. The character is as smart as the writer. Even if it's a robot. "Write what you know-" # **Now, if Malcom checked her and asserted that yes it's true that some PEOPLE are destructive, men more than most, and yet he himself creating her is a contradiction to her generalization, who builds the cities in the contradiction, it wouldn't be so awkward, it'd be a complete scene. Because #1 it's not ignoring what she said, #2 it's correcting what she said with facts and logic and not a generalization to replace logic & reality** * **Or the fact that Misaki killed people earlier that episode-** * But the show skims over what she did to make her look cool, zero moral dilemma. Misaki gets to do that but it's not indicative of women, Eiko gets to kill cops but that's not indicative of women. * **And the fact that women actually do not create anything in the childrearing process,** they deliver the end result of what was provided to them in the first place. (Not downplaying the role, just putting a pin in a very obnoxious myth that's an accepted narrative in this era because it deifies women on a pedestal. Aka business as usual.) * The process of creation is between his seed which he actually created and her being the threshold of life, the final phase of the creation. Not her being the sole creator, otherwise women would be asexually reproductive creating the seed, thus the child, thus the germination of 2 seeds in one person and BOTH seeds coming from the same person, alone, no external process or help, thus the creator. As far as babies are concerned, Women create absolutely nothing on their own outside the egg/her seed, they eject the child as he did the sperm. They are one important piece of two core pieces of the puzzle, she is the ONLY natural threshold of life. A threshold is not a creator, it's the finish line of the process. And that's enough, because it's important. Men and women in physical unity is a true human, so the true human made from two is what is creating, one or the other isn't creating shit. **But unfortunately the entire point of calling women "creators" is to exclude men from the situation, propaganda aimed to drive division, and abuse, trivialization.** # # So it's not the scene itself that's off-putting, it's that she says that, she's wrong, and Malcom just let's her have that when the entire point of his dynamic with both & Misaki and Kokoro is a dialogue exchange, challenging views (which up to that episode was the best parts of the show). The writer giving freebies, because if Malcom checked her, she'd be easily refuted. Because it's not rocket science to know that generalizations are overviews to mirror reality, not represent it. Hence why generalizing women are gold diggers never flies, rightfully so, just because a visible minority does it on mass doesn't mean using "generalization" as a shield means it's right. It's not. Just complete disregard of what men actually do to put women on high (yet again just like mass western media) and for absolutely no reason. **And for the reason they chose? They were misinformed anyway. Women are not creators of life, a com-bined human, a complete human is.** To create life is the act of a god. Lock a woman in a room by herself, a baby isn't happening, she's not creating shit. The Man is the Alpha, the beginning. She is the Omega, the end of the process of birth. Alpha & Omega is the creator. That's not a generalization to replace admitting reality, that's just reality. Period

Because I repeat, women aren't the one's getting up at 4 in the morning to build civilization on crazy jobs people don't even know exist, men are. But is Misaki going to mention that? Because #1 The writer won't, and 2# It defeats the narrative. (Robot wants to be woman because Men = bad. Women = good.)
This says less about Misaki and more about the writers.
And the fact that some people think this is "based" when you couldn't name 5 of the jobs men die doing everyday that women don't have to because men aren't complainers & won't whine & protest that women should finally step up and help.
They shut up, go to work, then go home. You live in a society that can afford to take the other half of the species that's carrying the team, take the ACTUAL creators for granted just to call them destroyers.
No need to call it sexism, It's just bad writing, and a sickening testament to the state of how well programmed these recent generations are to buy this even for a second.
Artists, philosophers, poets, musicians, destruction, coders, architects, infrastructure, vehicles, technology. But destruction is what invalidates the rest. That easy.
So convenient, such a privileged life one must have to just believe everything you use from rails in front of a building to the building itself, to the ceiling, elevators, the piping, the HVAC installation, the bridges, Subway tunnels or who built the trains to put in those tunnels, the tracks, just godlike level feats on part of men and women tbh as a unit, because women do help.
Otherwise, It all just got there all on their own, or women willed it into existence or something lmfao
Logically, in general If men on mass (in general, according to Misaki) were that destructive we wouldn't have survived to see the 1000s let alone 2024, duh.
Even the generalization makes no sense in IRL lore, and in universe? She says men are destroyers as a generalization to the man that created her. r/ Dur
You can't make this shit up, and if the show wanted that to be the point, it should've established it as such as blatantly as Misaki said the line.
It's not an issue stating some people, specifically men are destructive is a sin, no. It's you rely on generalizations because that's your ticket to OMIT everything else they do that actually creates vs calling women creators when in context even that's incorrect.
It's dishonesty. I couldn't say as a broad generalization that women in general put babies in ovens and I could get away with it, because in reality, women on mass do not do that, period. It's true that mainly women have done this, but using "generalization" as shield is not an argument of fact in context.
Because it's not true, period.
This is what happens when propaganda does the thinking for you, and one doesn't think for themselves. Cause this stuff will feed you suggestions and make you think it was your idea when reality itself contradicts it.
And I blame the episode for not executing it's writing more competently because all that was needed was a retort from Malcom, and it could've been a much much better scene. It just read as so left-field and awkward. Like it was injected in there for the sake of it.
Doesn't ruin the show or anything (it's just a few lines), yet it didn't do it any favors, because at this point the plot armor & the characters were not it, way too many contrivances, pacing was shot to hell; So that ontop of everything else, poor execution.
Kokoro & Malcom were carrying hard, T-800 honorable mention.
