Man Of Steel - Superman Vs General Zod Last Fight Reaction Mashup
Kent having to balance saving people & fighting Zod like in Superman 2 and Death of Superman 2018 (excellent Superman fight btw, go watch that movie), that would've been leagues better leading up to him killing Zod. It's not the execution of Zod, It's just the build up to it that was so sloppy. All those buildings fell, all those people, & only now this one family matters?

I've been in fights, when you're locked in as an amateur, you don't pay attention as much to your environment, you get tunnel vision, so i get it, but this guy has super senses and common sense, all those buildings & not once is he looking around cognizant of whats happening? And there plenty of times the fight stopped after he got punched, no awareness, nothing.

(The irony of zod's claim of training on a farm is Clark actually did not train, he practiced to fly, and Jor-El appointed him to test his limits but part of the issue with this "Superman" is he's actually unqualified emotionally and literally, cause Jor-El did a horrible job prepping him, 78 Jor-El basically made Clark into a NEET shut-in before he even got the suit, that training was so extensive it required a timeskip, Clark had to earn the suit. Same with Smallville.)
*Cavill's era was wasted on Snyder & Goyer, absolutely wasted and squandered.* Instead of people using him saving that soldier that fell out the copter as an excuse like "See? see? He saves people in a fight!", that same act should've been extended here.
Not him saving everyone successfully, but him saving some & failing others mid-fight (because he's still green & there's but so much he can do at this stage of his career) and then after that failure, after he sees and absorbs that loss then he does what needs to be done with heavy heart. But we the audience have to see him seeing this & getting that impact DURING the crisis, not at the end with some frigging scream.
Thats what Invincible got right, or like Superman in canon (Superman for Tomorrow when he couldn't stop an execution of civilians on foreign soil or he couldn't stop a foreign ethnic dispute, excellent story btw, recommended). That's why this doesn't work and his comic Doomsday fight does, both Death of Superman animated movies too, both good fights, WAAAAY better than this.

Zack prioritized an uncut DragonBallZ fight with a post-nut regret scream over a Superman accurate narrative with a fight attached to it. (And the fight isn't really that good honestly, Zimaut Animation could easily direct a better fight with just Flash animation software, go check their channel out btw, recommended) Like Superman vs Doomsday 2018, Supes didn't care if Doomsday was a living being or not, in fact, he didn't even check. In the end, he wanted him put down because if it wasn't done, Lois would die, and Earth would be donezo next, period. And Supes was a hair's breadth from passing out as well.

It's not about him killing Zod (in Superman ii he killed Zod out of spite with a smile, tho that was a different context given it was basically like a kiddy cartoon with some emotional elements but it was still unnecessary on Supermans part) but here it's all about the execution because unlike Superman 2, this movie takes itself very very very seriously, which raises the bar for a stunt like this.
The execution of all this was just as messy as Zacks Batman Bathroom scene idea.
I get what he was going for, but like Horikoshi & Bayformers, Zack has the vision to make something look cool, but how these cats get the story to that fixed point just ends up a train wreck.
(Disclaimer: the entire context of that gif of Superman taking Doomsday upside from that little girl ended with Supes suplexing Doomsday back down to kill him but for some reason he thought it was a brilliant idea to do that back in METROPOLIS/ a city **which is a major strike against that fight**, but him taking the opponent up in the sky at all instead of just sitting there acting like he forgot how to fly which is what Man of Steel-- did was my point in showing that excerpt. Because I've been saying for years "If he has Zod in a lock, ie. physical control, why didn't he just fly up?!????")
