MHA CHP312-316 (Lady Nagant, and why should i give a shit?)

Nagant is one of the most irrelevant DLC additions to the Horikoshi “Who gives a shit” character gallery since that Clown jackass with Bunny ears named “Mirko”

The artist in me admires the man’s sketching skills, what he achieved in concept only. 

Horikoshi can draw his ass off, but holy shit his writing is tripe.

We see this chic in the prison break at the end of Jaku arc 296-300, she just shows up behind Deku 310-312, we get a fight, then her backstory:

 (in true Horikoshi fashion) 

completely interrupts the goddamn fight, fucking the momentum of the fight in the ass, as usual-

• Granted, Flashbacks in fights can work, GI JOE Resolute Snake eyes vs Storm Shadow or Gundam SEED, depending on the pace of the fight, and if the information is crucial.

What she revealed was not new information. Hero Society is corrupt, okay. Got it.

She just revealed she was basically a hitman for them, okay, big deal. 

• And to top it off, we DON’T KNOW this bitch to justify why we should care. 
• No hints of vulnerability beforehand, duality, character beats, actual time to spend with her so a backstory can actually make me give a shit, a favorite color? nothing- no relevant information prior

So why are we getting a backstory on her like she’s been in the story as long as Jeanist or Hawks.

•  And if we're going to get one this soon, why haven't we gotten any quality time to identify with her?

Then immediately after this blood riddled backstory, Deku saving a certain returning character & then stopping her fall was enough to sway her trauma, PTSD, and disillusioned faith in the system.

Saying “He’s a real hero” or “You’re the real deal” basically sucking him off like everyone else

Deku is a special boy everyone, true special snowflake. It must be true because everyone in the story keeps repeating it over and over and over. 

Now, childhood trauma or disillusionment isn’t something you can just turn off with a good deed, ask Bruce Banner, Bruce Wayne or Jason Todd, or Homelander

This woman was an assassination, trained from childhood, a cheapass Deadshot with tits. 

So she’s seen and done some shit.

This brat saving one guy was enough for her to go: “Guess i was wrong”

THEN after this immediately goes boom......

Hawks “I know you well”

Too bad we don’t lmfao, literally.

One backstory doesn’t substitute INVESTMENT. Which takes effort, time, and vision. Horikoshi.

Then Hawks is screaming at her after she gets murked, reiterating her importance as to who she is & what she still has to do in this world, WHEN I DON’T know who the fuck she is.

This is like King Bumi showing up during the Eclipse arc in S3, except we don’t get any of the episodes beforehand establishing his character, or his connection to Aang.

He just shows up. And he’s imprisoned, and Aang cares about this but we don’t know this guy so how are we supposed to care.

Her combat debut, her backstory, and she gets mortally wounded in the same situation. 

That’s some fucked up pacing my guy.

And he didn’t have the balls to kill her, ALL FOR ONE yet again failing to kill someone who’s Quirk has nothing to do with endurance. 

So how IN THE actual the fuck did she survive this:

POINT.BLANK.

Trash.

Stop making my man AFO look weak.

There were people in the comment section really reacting to her getting bodied like we know her like that. 

We have more history with Deku’s HOSPITAL bed than this DLC waifu. Which is where her value is coming from, the fact that she’s another Kohei waifu insert that people are drooling over because 

“Exist as a remotely attractive female and thus you have innate value to the fandom, nothing else matters about your character.” 

Not that she actually matters or she has an identity or a stake in what’s going, she just “purdy”

That’s all it takes, and it pisses me off only because these Authors know that lmfao. Bare bones, bare minimum.

I guarantee you if she was plain looking face like Helga Pataki, with a more realistic body type, BUT she’s better written this time. 

She wouldn’t be getting as many simps.

Guarantee it.

All in all, i’ve never had such a headache in one fight before in a manga since the Naruto exams, this was narrative whiplash. 

She really just showed up in 297, now we get this shit like she’s established.

Nagant just showed up to peace tf out lmfao.
