A Politician will promise you financial policy, "change" of the vague sense, but not peace between men and women specifically. Not a campaign to make women feel safe, and make men feel welcome in society.
They won't promise a culture to bring women and men together instead of destroying one or the other, or propping up one at the expense of the other.
Your leaders will promise you everything except what will save your village from itself.
And the birthrates go tumbling down.
